I'm also unsure about the tagging structure of Bear, since I've always used folders and subfolders. I need my notes app to be able to link from one note to another, and would prefer if it can successfully import those links from my old Evernote notes. Overall, it works well for me, but I still just really like the simplicity of Bear (and even the Apple Notes app.) I've had to switch to the web editor, which does not support offline use.

My main frustration with Nimbus is that the Mac app is incredibly slow. It has many features, a UI similar to Evernote, can link from one note to another, does a great job with bullets, uses folders/subfolders, and enables you to embed many different objects.Īfter using it for a while now, I'm toying with the idea of switching to something else. I tried a bunch of apps, Bear included, and ultimately chose Nimbus Note. I'd been an Evernote user for many years, but became very frustrated with their new editor. A year or so ago, I decided to leave Evernote.
